Dr. Amr Khaled, Founder and Chairman of Trustees
Dr. Khaled established Right Start Foundation International in 2003 and has continued to support the foundation since. He is well-known as a television preacher with a large social following. The New York Times Magazine (2006), in reference to Khaled’s popularity in Arab countries, described him as “the world’s most famous and influential Muslim television preacher.” Amr Khaled was also identified as one of the world’s 100 most influential people by Time Magazine (2007).
Mr. AbdelKader Hafez, Trustee
Mr. AbdelKader Hafez is a well-known public figure in Saudi Arabia, he graduated from the faculty of Engineering in 1965, then built his own business in various fields. He has a vast amount of experience in charity work both in and outside Saudi Arabia.
Dr. Ahmed Ghoneim, Trustee
Dr. Ghoneim is a Senior Lecturer in Digital Marketing and Information Systems and the Director of UG Programmes at Brunel University, London. Dr. Ghoniem moved to the UK in 2000, with a Ph.D. degree in Information Systems Investments Evaluation from Brunel University London.
Dr. Daniel Jackson, Trustee
Dr. Jackson is a Psychiatrist with experience in Perinatal Psychiatry, Child & Adolescent Psychiatry, General Adult Psychiatry and Forensic Psychiatry. He is also the founder and chairman of a local registered charity, “The Olton Project”. Dr Jackson has impressive experience working with multi-cultural and faith groups and has developed a good understanding of working with Charities.
Mrs Basma Al Sulaiman, Trustee
Named as one of the 100 most influential people in the art world, Basma Al Sulaiman is a Saudi Art Patron and founder of BASMOCA; the first virtual museum to present an actual private collection to a limitless global audience of visitors. Basma earned an English Literature BA and then a diploma in Modern and Contemporary art at Christie’s Education London.
Mrs Al Sulaiman’s main focus is to support Saudi art and artists by promoting them locally and internationally. She is also a member of many charities, both locally and internationally.
Dr. Sami Ahmed, CEO (Appointed 2014)
In 2014, Dr. Sami Ahmed was appointed the CEO of Right Start Foundation International. He is an experienced businessman who has an excellent track record of managing large and small companies and leading many international scientific research projects.
